Connect to Claude
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the Sidekick for AI address. Claude then asks you to sign in with Google.
Sidekick for AI is coming soon, with Sidekick for Mac. These pages describe how it works at launch.
On claude.ai and the Claude apps
-
Open Settings and choose Connectors.
-
Choose Add custom connector.
-
Name it Sidekick for AI and paste this address:
https://mcp.heysidekick.app/mcp -
Choose Add, then Connect, and sign in with your Google account on Google’s page.
A connector you add on claude.ai is also there in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.
Claude’s plans decide how many custom connectors you can add, and on Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector for the organisation first. Claude’s own help explains what your plan allows.
Using it in a conversation
Ask about your tasks as you would anyone else. Claude decides when to use Sidekick for AI, and shows you each step. Before anything is deleted, Claude shows you the preview and asks; Claude may also ask your permission before the delete itself runs.
Two Google accounts
With Premium, first add the second Google account on your account page with Add another Google account. Then add the connector twice, named for example Sidekick: Work and Sidekick: Personal, and sign each one in with a different Google account. A Google account that isn’t on your account page yet gets a separate Sidekick account of its own, on the free plan.
