Quickstart
Add Sidekick for AI to your AI app as a custom connector, sign in with your Google account when the app asks, then ask it something about your tasks.
Sidekick for AI is coming soon, with Sidekick for Mac. These pages describe how it works at launch.
1. Add Sidekick for AI to your app
Every AI app that supports MCP has a place to add a connector or MCP server by its address. Sidekick for AI’s address is:
https://mcp.heysidekick.app/mcp
Pick your app for the exact steps:
2. Sign in with Google
The first time your app uses Sidekick for AI, it opens a page that names the app and asks you to confirm. Choose Continue with Google and sign in on Google’s own page, so Sidekick for AI never sees your password, and you allow it to use your Google Tasks. That’s the only permission it asks for, besides your email address to tell your accounts apart.
3. Try it
Start with something that only reads:
- “How many tasks do I have, in which lists?”
- “What’s overdue?”
- “Do I have any duplicate tasks?”
Then something that changes a task, such as “Tick off Pick up the dry cleaning.” Open Google Tasks on your phone and it’s done there too.
