Keyboard shortcuts
Three shortcuts work from any app: ⌃⌥N adds a task, ⌃⌥T folds every stack or opens them again, and ⌃⌥H hides or shows Sidekick.
Sidekick for Mac is coming soon, with Sidekick for AI. These pages describe how it works at launch.
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⌃⌥N | Add a task, from any app. The composer opens at the top of your main stack |
| ⌃⌥T | Fold every stack down to its header, or open them again |
| ⌃⌥H | Hide or show Sidekick |
⌃ is the Control key and ⌥ is Option. In Sidekick’s menu bar menu, ⌘, opens Settings… and ⌘Q quits Sidekick. In any field you’re typing in, the usual ⌘A, ⌘C, ⌘V, ⌘X and ⌘Z work too, and Return saves a task’s title.
For Google Tasks’ own shortcuts in Gmail and on the web, see the keyboard shortcuts guide.
