Review what's pending

Ask your AI app something like "What's overdue, and what can wait?" It reads your open tasks through Sidekick for AI, groups them into overdue, due today, due in the next 7 days, due later, no date and untouched for a while, and helps you decide what to do.

Sidekick for AI is coming soon, with Sidekick for Mac. These pages describe how it works at launch.

Prompts to try

  • “What’s overdue, and what can wait?”
  • “Which tasks haven’t I touched in a month?”
  • “What’s due this week, by list?”
  • “Which tasks have no date? Suggest dates for the important ones.”

What happens

The AI app asks Sidekick for AI to review your open tasks. It gets them back in groups: overdue, due today, due in the next 7 days, due later, no date, and stale (untouched for a number of days you can name). It summarises them and suggests what to do, such as moving dates, ticking off what’s done or dropping what no longer matters.

Reading has no daily count. When you agree to a change, the app makes it: new due dates, completed tasks, tasks moved to another list. Every change appears in Google Tasks on your phone and in Gmail.

Make it a habit

Ask for the same review at the start of each week, or ask your app to save the prompt if it supports saved prompts or projects.
