Working offline

Your tasks stay on screen without internet, and you can tick off, add and edit tasks as usual. Sidekick keeps every change on your Mac, even if you quit or restart, and sends them to Google Tasks in order when you're back online.

Sidekick for Mac is coming soon, with Sidekick for AI. These pages describe how it works at launch.

What you’ll see

When a change can’t reach Google, the header shows how many changes are waiting to sync. Nothing else changes: keep working.

When you’re back online

Sidekick sends the waiting changes in the order you made them, as soon as the connection returns. To check right away, choose Refresh Now from the menu bar menu.

If Google can never accept a change, for example because the task was deleted on another device in the meantime, that change is dropped so the rest can go through.
